Hemi-neglect: Chapter 8 provides background for symptoms of hemi-neglect and attention. These drawings are not complete in the left half. The symptoms of failing to respond or orient to the left half of space is typically seen following right hemisphere damage, particularly when the damage is in the parietal lobe. Several of the artists discussed in this book had this symptom, but it did not affect their talent, creativity, or productivity. This Figure is an illustration of the type of drawings made by patients with the neglect.
